Emsella Treatment is a non-invasive medical procedure that is primarily used for treating urinary incontinence. It works by utilizing high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. This stimulation helps to strengthen and tone the muscles, which in turn improves bladder control and reduces urinary leakage.
During an Emsella Treatment session, the patient sits fully clothed on a specialized chair that emits electromagnetic waves. These waves penetrate the pelvic floor muscles, causing them to contract and relax repeatedly. This process is similar to performing thousands of Kegel exercises in a short amount of time.
The benefits of utilizing the Emsella chair for urinary incontinence and strengthening of the pelvic floor are numerous. First, it is a non-invasive procedure, meaning there are no incisions or anesthesia required, making this a comfortable option with a great safety profile. Additionally, the treatment is quick, typically lasting around 30 minutes per session, and requires no downtime. Patients may receive the therapy without disrobing. Patients can resume their daily activities directly after the treatment, with no downtime.
Furthermore, Emsella Treatment has shown to be highly effective in improving urinary incontinence symptoms. Clinical studies have demonstrated significant reductions in urinary leakage and improvements in bladder control after a series of treatments. This can greatly enhance the quality of life for individuals suffering from urinary incontinence.
Of importance is that while the Emsella Treatment is primarily used for urinary incontinence, there are other applications for which your physician may recommend this therapy. Emsella treatment may not be suitable for everyone. It’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if this treatment is the right option for your specific medical needs.
